About dan j. wilcox

For over a decade, Dan J. Wilcox (A.K.A DJW) has been producing electronic music across a wide spectrum of styles, from ambient and acid to breakbeat, dubstep, hip hop instrumentals, and experimental sound design. Now based in Dublin, Ireland, his work continues to evolve through a distinct approach that blends club-focused energy with immersive, textural depth.

Operating as both a producer and multimedia artist, DJW’s sound bridges introspective atmospheres and rhythm-driven electronic music, drawing on influences from 140 BPM bass, ambient electronica, and experimental club music. His releases—including DUBLIN TRACKS (2023), safer. (2024), and FAIRLIGHTER (2025)—highlight a growing catalogue that balances emotive sound design with forward-thinking production.

Dan has built a reputation through live performances and DJ sets, supporting acts such as Stanton Warriors, headlining local festivals, and performing across a range of club and independent events. His music has received support from platforms including BBC Introducing and Sine.FM, as well as recognition from artists such as Hudson Mohawke, Kai Whiston, and Spinee.

With a background in audio production and multimedia editing, DJW continues to expand into audiovisual performance, combining electronic composition with visual elements to create immersive live experiences suited to both club environments and alternative art spaces.
